Founded in 2015 by Sean Green and co-founders Steve Miller and Raymond Nguyen, ARTERNAL brought a tech-driven solution to the art dealer’s needs and experience. We saw the need to unify, and took it. To unify the needs of the art industry with the possibilities of technology. Most importantly, to unify the art community by giving art professionals the time to focus on and deepen their relationships.

Sean Green
Sean Green holds a BA in Computer Science and has been the consummate entrepreneur, leading him to the business of art. Sean and partners founded ARTERNAL in 2015, becoming the first tech company to bring client relationship management to the art world. Sean’s goal was simple: provide a unified resource allowing the art professional to focus on what they do best – sell art and deepen client relationships.
Raymond Nguyen

With a BA in Computer Science from The University of Calgary and a Masters in Software Engineering from Waterloo University, Raymond Nguyen has been heavy in the start-up scene since graduating in 2012. Raymond leads the engineering team in the Toronto, Ontario based ARTERNAL office.

Artist, writer, fashion designer, and entrepreneur with a BA from Middlebury College; Steve Miller has lived and worked between New York City and Eastern Long Island since 1975. An artist turned technologist, toggling the line between the art world and technology, Steve plays a vital role as Chief Artist Operator, providing invaluable insight into an industry that typically is resistant to change.

A 20 year veteran arts professional, Mary Leigh Cherry has a demonstrated history of independently growing a gallery business, private sales and leading the expansion of an east coast gallery to the west coast. Past experiences include non-profit board development, advancement and public art in public and private sectors.

Mike has a BA in Computer Science and is a founding designer and engineer at ARTERNAL, Wwith close to a decade in experience in tech. His work ethos involves combining design with research, technology and culture. Currently spearheading creative direction, design, product and iOS engineering.

After graduating with a degree in Chemical Engineering, Brian has entered the computer science world, having self-taught programming without any prior knowledge. Starting with ARTERNAL and the product it provides, he is passionate to continue learning new technologies.

Dan is a full stack developer with a degree in computer science who has been programming from a young age. You’ll find him across the entire project, whether it be plowing through server code or putting together browser code. He has previous experience as a freelancer and in transportation intelligence, but has since found a home in the world of art tech.

Ian is a senior full stack developer with over 12 years of experience, specializing in frontend development. Ian has an arts background in animation for film and television, having worked in the animation industry for over 6 years prior to switching careers to pursue software full time.
